Inclement Weather

  • For sessions that start at 10:30AM and 4:30PM, the wet weather location will prevail if the earlier timeslot has to be conducted there due to inclement weather, regardless of immediate weather conditions. The announcement will be made for both timeslots at the same time.

  • In the event of insurmountable inclement weather during the session in progress at the park, the class will end for the timeslot ahead of time and be considered complete.

  • Should the session end within the first half of the timeslot due to inclement weather, there will be a reschedule opportunity with multiple alternative timeslots arranged by the Head Coach. Attendance terms apply.

Attendance, Re-scheduling, Leave and Absence

  • All absentee and rescheduling matters must be made known to the Head Coach in advance.

  • If the learner is absent for an intended session, an alternative attendance can be made on a different available timeslot. The Re-Scheduled Session may be in the form of either:

    • a different timeslot on the same day

    • an extra hour on the next week (2 hour session)

    • an extra day of attendance (1 hour on Both Saturday and Sunday)

  • Re-Scheduled Sessions must be made within 4 consecutive weeks on our Term Calendar, relative to the Week of Absence.

  • The Session will be considered forfeit by the student if they are not able to attend any available alternative timeslot in the current Term for Re-Scheduling.

  • Absence must be communicated to us by the Tuesday before the absentee day.

    • If an injury or illness was acquired after Tuesday, the Head Coach must be contacted as soon as possible.

    • If your absence is planned or known more than a week in advance, you may choose to Re-Schedule to an earlier timeslot or week that falls before your day of absence.

    • If your absence is planned or known before the start of the new Term, you may choose to make prior arrangements of attendance in advance. This will not be counted under the Rescheduling terms, and any adjustments after the agreed-upon arrangement will be considered under the Re-Scheduling guidelines.

  • In the case where a student is unable to attend a session because of illness, a replacement session can be arranged only if a valid medical certificate is presented. If any proof of absence is not shown, we will not allow any rescheduling to take place, and the affected session is effectively forfeited.

  • Absence from Re-Scheduled Sessions will be forfeit. Exceptional events (e.g. injury, bereavement) will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.

  • If your absence lasts for a substantial period of time (more than 2 weeks) please inform the Head Coach before Week 2 of the affected term.

    • If this is due to a long-term illness, injury or immediate emergencies, please contact the Head Coach to discuss matters relating to the remaining unused sessions.

    • Any remaining sessions are to be completed within the Term prior to the intended period of planned absence.
